Good taste, small budget · Feature
A beautiful table on a £30 budget
Practical styling for a dinner that looks considered without costing much more than the food.

A table people remember is rarely an expensive one. It's one with a clear idea, a little texture and something that makes guests linger.
Pick one colour story
Choose two colours and repeat them: linen napkins, a candle, a few stems from the supermarket. Restraint is what makes cheap things look chosen.
Spend on what people touch
Guests notice napkins, glasses and the salt on the table more than the plates. Put most of your £30 there, and use what you already own for the rest.

Finish with something edible
A bowl of clementines, a good loaf on a board, a small dish of flaky salt. Food on display makes a table feel generous before anything is served.
